I read an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal recently...
discussing the massive amounts of money pouring into private equity funds. Sovereign wealth funds, large pension funds and insurance companies are directing more of their available investment capital to PE than ever.
The supply of money available to do deals is abundant. The components in scarcity, though, are the executive talent to make them work and the targeted companies to acquire.
The competition among PE firms for these two scarce resources is fierce. This means the prices for acquiring both the right talent and the right targets are increasing. Sounds great if you are an executive who knows how to make a business grow profitably.
But, if you want in the game with PE firms you have to know how to speak their language and how to get in front of them.
A recent referral told us his friend said, "If you want in the PE game call the guys at Endeavor."
Since then, we have developed even better training for making the pitch to PE. It's not easy. It takes a lot of work and practice. You have to bring it with value in just a few minutes. Then, it's all about getting our client introduced to the right funds.
We love starting conversations every day.
