Friday challenge: Make a new seafood dish
On select Fridays I will pose a challenge to you, the reader, to improve your lives and careers in some small way. Do you accept the challenge?
It's the first Friday of Lent. For Catholics this means time to eat fish. No problem here. I like fish. In fact, tonight our Knights of Columbus council is hosting a fish fry and I always enjoy helping with those.
While our fried fish is tasty there are many other ways to prepare and enjoy seafood. There are so many different kinds of seafood to enjoy that I likely won't get to experience even a fraction of them in my entire life.
Try something new this next week.
Go to your favorite supermarket and pick out something different. Google a good recipe for it. Give it a whirl.
Don't be afraid to make a mistake in the cooking process. It's part of the enjoyment. When you cook it yourself, versus going out to a restaurant, it's not only less expensive but will likely be healthier. You will probably enjoy it more because you made it.
There are lots of fish in the sea. Time to try a new one.
