Friday Challenge: Get rid of old clothes you don't wear
On select Fridays I will pose a challenge to you, the reader, to improve your lives and careers in some small way. Do you accept the challenge?
We all have them, those clothes that hang in our closets or crowd the drawers that we don't really wear. In most cases there is an emotional attachment of some sort. We know we haven't worn that shirt in over a year, yet we can't bring ourselves to get rid of it.
Time to make it happen.
Why keep it? If you don't wear it there is no reason to have it. Donate it to the local thrift shop. Someone else will find a treasure and be so excited. Your shirt, if it had feelings, would be much happier fulfilling its destiny versus hanging in a closet. You get the benefits of helping someone else, more closet space and maybe even a tax deduction.
Some of the clothing in your wardrobe you do wear but probably shouldn't. It's worn, faded, out of style or just doesn't fit any more. Move it along. If it is still in good shape, donate it. If not, pitch it.
You don't have to spend a fortune on clothing to look sharp and have a nice wardrobe. But, make sure the things in your wardrobe are things you actually wear and make you look good.
