Friday challenge: Fix that small thing that has been broken for a while
On select Fridays I will pose a challenge to you, the reader, to improve your lives and careers in some small way. Do you accept the challenge?
You walk by it several times a week. When you see it the thought goes through your head. "I need to fix that." But then you keep moving and think, "I'll get to that later."
Fix it this week.
It's not a giant project, just one of those things that needs to be done but keeps getting put off. Make it a priority this week. Plan when you are going to get it done and just do it.
It could be a project at home, or it might be something at your work. Don't keep walking by it and having that message nag at you again. The feeling of accomplishment you will have when it's done will put some spring in your step. You might even be bold enough to do the next thing.
When you're done, you will probably wonder why you put it off so long because it wan't such a daunting task in the first place. There are almost always more things to do than you can get done. But if you just keep doing you will be amazed at what you accomplish.
